Our Environment

And How We Can Reduce Our Impacts

We all depend on and affect our environment.

Nearly all of the choices we make - whether at home, at play or at work - can affect the natural systems that we and other living beings rely on for survival. The Ministry of Environment plays a critical role in achieving provincial environmental goals but all British Columbians have a role in protecting and preserving our environment.

What can I do?

The good news is that all of us can reduce our impact in some way. Even a small lifestyle change can benefit the health of local ecosystems now and improve the well being of our families and communities into the future.
