How we celebrated BC Parks 100!
BC Parks celebrated its 100th birthday on March 1, 2011. This date marked the 100th anniversary of the creation of the very first provincial park in British Columbia – Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. Working with communities, First Nations, youth and sector areas such as arts, heritage and tourism, BC Parks was excited to host celebrations and events across the entire province that marked this magnificent and historic milestone.
