Kts’mkta’ani/Union Lake Conservancy

About This Conservancy

Kts’mkta’ani/Union Lake Conservancy was established as part of government’s land use decision for the North Coast planning area. Union Lake is of great cultural, historic and spiritual significance for local First Nations. The conservancy is accessible by boat and floatplane.

Conservancy Size: 6,338 hectares – 6,331 hectares of upland and seven hectares of foreshore

Date Established: June 27, 2008

Location

The conservancy is located 25 kilometres north of Prince Rupert.
