  • To help preserve the natural values in this park, please do not discharge sewage in anchorages, but keep sewage contained in holding tanks while at anchor.

Park Info:

This park protects a spectacular waterfall that cascades from Cassel Lake directly into the ocean. Teakerne Arm offers a protected anchorage and access to a warm, fresh water lake for swimming or fishing.

Special Features: Cassel Falls cascade into the ocean and provides a beautiful viewing area from the trail near the top of the falls.

There is a 1 km hiking trail to Cassel Lake. For your own safety and the preservation of the park, obey posted signs and keep to designated trails. Shortcutting trails destroys plant life and soil structure.

There is ocean swimming available and fresh water swimming at Cassel Lake. There are no roped off swimming areas and there are no lifeguards on duty at provincial parks.

This park is accessible by canoe or kayak, but is not on common kayaking routes.

This park does not have a boat launch.

fishing

There is tidal water fishing in the ocean, and fresh water fishing at Cassel Lake.

Rockfish Conservation Areas occur within this park. Fishing activities are limited in Rockfish Conservation Areas. Before you go fishing please refer to the Rockfish Conservation Area descriptions available from Fisheries and Oceans Canada DFO. Anyone fishing or angling in British Columbia must have an appropriate licence.

Pets/domestic animals must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in beach areas or park buildings. You are responsible for their behaviour and must dispose of their excrement.

Backcountry areas are not suitable for dogs or other pets due to wildlife issues and the potential for problems with bears. Domestic animals must be on a leash at all times.

No viewing platforms exist although good viewing is available from the trail near the top of Cassel Falls. Cassel Falls cascade directly into the ocean.
