BC Parks is in the process of developing a management plan for Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

Management Planning Schedule

Stage 1: Initial planning and Project Plan Approval

Initial input requested for the Draft Management Plan:

Stage 2: Development of the Draft Management Plan

Stage 3: Draft Management Plan open.

Stage 4: Final Management Plan Developed and Approved

Background Information

  • The new Kalamalka Lake Park Management Plan will replace the 2003 Purpose Statement and Zoning Plan (PSZP) for the park area which existed prior to 2001 (978 hectares), and the PSZP which was approved in 2006 for the former Kalamalka Lake Protected Area, which was established in 2001 and provided Class A park status in 2008.
  • There will be a public information session held in the fall/winter of 2017 to provide information on the management planning process and to obtain initial public input that will be considered in development of the draft management plan.
