Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park Management Planning

BC Parks is in the process of developing a management plan for Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

Management Planning Schedule

Stage 1: Initial planning and Project Plan Approval (complete)

The public comment period on the initial planning stage concluded on March 9, 2018. BC Parks is greatly appreciative of all the comments and input received and to those who attended the public information session in January 2018. Just over 250 submissions were received.

Stage 2: Development of the Draft Management Plan (complete)

A draft management plan was developed during the spring/summer and early fall of 2018. Development of the management plan strongly considered much of the public and stakeholder input received, as such, the draft management plan reflects a balanced approach to the future management of Kalamalka Lake Park.

Stage 3: Draft Management Plan open for public review (current stage)

A draft management plan [PDF] has been prepared and is now accessible.

Public comments will be accepted on the draft management plan until January 31, 2019. Please either fill out an online comment form or download the PDF comment form [PDF] which can be mailed in (contact address is on the bottom of the comment form).

BC Parks will be hosting a public information session in Vernon on the draft management plan on Monday, December 10, 2018. Key BC Parks staff will be on-hand to answer questions on the draft management plan. Participants are welcome to fill out/submit hard copy comment forms at the public information session [PDF].
