Lillooet Protected Areas Management Planning

BC Parks is preparing management plans for nine protected areas in the Lillooet area. The provincial parks in the area were newly designated or enlarged. The location of each of these parks is shown on this map. [PDF 589KB]

South Chilcotin Mountains Park/Big Creek Park
Big Creek and South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Parks will have one combined management plan due to having similar values, uses and adjacency.

A 2005 Background Report for Big Creek Provincial Park and Spruce Lake Protected Area includes three Mining/Tourism areas that were removed from the Spruce Lake Protected Area when it was re-designated as South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park in 2010.  Please keep this in mind when reviewing the document and providing any comments on Big Creek/South Chilcotin Mountains.  The mining/tourism zones are shown on the map for South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park.
