Vancouver Island Region - Salt Spring Island Protected Areas
Significant progress has been made in the management planning process for the Salt Spring Island protected areas. The six draft management plans are now complete and are proceeding through a Ministry of Environment internal review.
Upon completion of the internal review and plan revisions, the six Draft Management Plans will be available for public review and comment. In November 2008, the Draft Management Plans will be available on the BC Parks web site along with comment forms. Your comments on the Draft Management Plans are important and will be considered in the development of the final plans.
In addition, BC Parks will be hosting an Open House/Public Meeting in late November or early December where the Draft Management Plans will be presented for public review, discussion, and comment.
