September 2001 Report

This report updates three previous studies conducted by Marvin Shaffer and Associates Ltd. in 1985, and Coopers & Lybrand in 1995 and 1996. As in the previous reports, this study concludes that British Columbia's protected areas system continues to be a major source of economic activity for the province. These economic benefits are in addition to the primary value of the protected areas system in contributing to the environmental and social well-being of the province.
