Picture My Parks
BC Parks partnered with the B.C. chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS-BC) to create the “Picture My Parks” B.C. Photo Contest. The public was invited to submit photographs depicting how they get outside, get active and experience recreation, tourism, environmental education and heritage appreciation in B.C.'s provincial parks.
Entries were reviewed by a panel of CPAWS-BC and BC Parks staff and narrowed down to the best photos in each of four categories. Then the public was invited to choose an overall winner and category winners by voting online for their favourite photos. In addition, a prize was offered for the best youth entry, as determined by the staff judging panel.
The votes have been tallied and now it’s time to unveil the winners!
For voting on the finalists, Lisa Waldie of Port Alberni won a BC Parks weekend camping trip provided by the Park Facility Operators Society of B.C.
BC Parks would like to thank everyone who participated.
