One of the best things about the Ecosystem Biologist position is the range of projects that I am able to be involved with, such as supporting Parks and Protected Areas staff, monitoring species at risk and managing invasive plant treatment and monitoring. These responsibilities provide me with opportunities to travel throughout my region and the province and to conduct field work in a range of environments. Every day I come to work there are new challenges and opportunities to learn. The position allows me to work with a variety of people from non-profit groups, First Nations, municipal governments and other staff within my own ministry. As a recent graduate in the field of Wildlife and Fisheries Management this position is allowing me to draw on many aspects of my educational training and previous work experience and providing significant opportunities for new learning and skills development.
