Annual Salary Range
$30,000 – $74,000
The Ministry of Environment employees over 100 people in Financial positions. These jobs are available at a variety of different levels: from entry level positions as Financial and Payroll Clerks, to intermediate levels as Financial Officers and Financial Analysts, to senior levels as Financial Managers. Working in a financial role with the Ministry of Environment can be a very interesting experience. The range of work is engaging and challenging. Some of the duties performed include financial analysis, overseeing contract administration, providing financial advice and accounting expertise and support to different program areas within the ministry, and budget planning and monitoring.
Requirements vary depending on the level of the job. Generally completion of level 2 of a recognized professional accounting program or completion of a university degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics is required. However there is some flexibility in these requirements where the applicant has an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Financial jobs require analytical thinkers that are both service and results oriented.
