October 25, 2010 Webinar - Consultation on Proposed Cap and Trade Regulations: Emissions Trading and Offsets
This webinar is to introduce the Consultation Papers for the Proposed Emissions Trading Regulation and the Proposed Offsets Regulation being developed under the authority of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Cap and Trade) Act.
British Columbia is the first province to introduce legislation authorizing hard limits ("caps") on GHG emissions through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Cap and Trade) Act. This legislation enables B.C.’s participation in the trading system being developed with other jurisdictions through the Western Climate Initiative.

The Ministry will host an information session introducing the Emissions Trading and Offsets consultation papers and process near the start of the consultation period. You – or the most appropriate representative from your organization - are invited to attend by webinar.
