Corporate Information Architecture and Access Services
- Lead and facilitate the definition and evolution of the corporate IT architecture based on client needs and government and industry directions.
- In partnership with data administration and operation services build and populate a corporate repository of re-usable common components.
- Working with the Operations Services Branch define and maintain the evolution of the application development environment architecture, standards and methods.
- Provide technical architect consulting and quality assurance services as defined by Systems Development Life Cycle (e.g. input and approval of conceptual designs).
- Define data access architecture including governance, tools standards and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain a set of standard toolkits in support of data retrieval, viewing, reporting, and analysis.
- Provide consulting and quality assurance services on data access and the use of standard toolkits (how and when to use).
- Design common access portal frameworks and advise on use.
- Support the business client group in developing business-specific tools with clients.
Web Services
- Provide Web
services for the Ministry of Sustainable Resource Management and the
Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection::
- provide IT leadership and support to Web administrators working in conjunction with central government agencies;
- define and maintain content, presentation and portal architecture, standards and methods; and
- provide operational web server infrastructure services
