All Standards

The Information Management Branch is responsible for defining and managing the Ministry's technical architecture and for developing and promoting information technology standards.

With the consolidation of the IMB resources from the Natural Resource Sector Ministries, work is underway to establish one location for all standards regardless of the Ministry. Until this transition is complete, applicable standards will be decided on a project-by-project basis but in general please use the following linkages to access the standards pertinent to the Ministry for whom the work is being done.

• Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Agriculture - use the currently published standards within this site.
• Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations - Forest Applications - use the currently published standards from this site.


• Lands Applications (including GEOBC and ILMB) - use the currently published standards from this site.
• eLicencing Applications - use the currently published standards from this site.
• Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation - use the Ministry of Environment standards.
• Ministry of Energy and Mines - use the Ministry of Environment standards.
