Acquiring Base Maps & Air Photos

Base Maps: All TEM and PEM mapping must be registered to a common TRIM (Terrain Resource Information Management) base. The use of a common base map for all mapping projects assists with the re-usability of the data sets. TRIM l or TRIM ll are acceptable and all original TRIM feature codes must be retained. See the TEM and PEM Standards for further information.

Air Photos: Information regarding air photo availability may be obtained from the Base Mapping and Geomatic Services Branch website and/or through Base Map Online Store. For specific air photo coverage please use the B.C. Airphoto Inventory – Web Mapping Application.
