Recycling Regulation

The Ministry of Environment has completed a number of amendments to the Recycling Regulation, of the Environmental Management Act (EMA). The regulation establishes producer responsibilities for the life-cycle management of their products, including financing the collection and recycling of discarded products.

The recent amendment to the regulation added a variety of electronic and electrical products, including accessories such as light bulbs and batteries, to the schedule of products.
