Pesticide Certification Information
Pesticide certification for dispensers and applicators must be in the appropriate category (see category descriptions). There is a separate study kit and exam for each category.
Candidates with Certification from Other Canadian Provinces
A certification candidate who holds a valid pesticide certificate from another Canadian province may choose to write an exam on the B.C. Integrated Pest Management Act (IPM Act) and Regulation. Links to the IPM Act and Regulation and summaries of them can be found on the IPM home page. If a score of at least 75% is obtained on the examination, a B.C. certificate will be issued in the category equivalent to the category of certification from the other province. The B.C. certificate will be valid until five years from the date the out-of-province certificate was issued.
