Public Process for Legislation Renewal
In November 2003, the ministry posted a discussion document and response questionnaire for public consultation on the new regulation. The Discussion Document (346 KB / 17 pages) outlined key issues for public consideration identified by the ministry in the consultation process.
Comments, responses and submissions regarding development of the new regulation received before January 21, 2004 were rolled up into a Summary of Responses (359 KB / 34 pages). The ministry would like to thank all those who responded.
In winter and early spring of 2004, ministry staff met with technical experts to assist in development of proposed regulations.
In October 2004, the ministry posted an Intentions Paper (345 KB / 9 pages) and a
Questions and Answers Paper (472 KB / 40 pages) to provide information about the IPM Act and Proposed regulations.
A workshop to review the Intentions Paper with stakeholders was also held in Vancouver on October 19, 2004.
The responses were summarized in the form of a Thematic Summary of Comments (270 KB / 22 pages).
We would like to thank all respondents who provided input as a result of the Intentions Paper. This information is invaluable with respect to developing the final drafts of the regulations.
Comments on any issue pertaining to the IPM Act and Regulations development are still welcome and should be forwarded to LegReview@Victoria1.gov.bc.ca. These comments will be considered in the development of future amendments.
