Environmental Protection Division
The Environmental Protection (EP) program is responsible for regulating waste discharges to the land, air and water for the entire Lower Mainland. We are also responsible for regulating the clean up of contaminated sites, emergency spill response and hazardous waste storage, treatment and disposal. Our Environmental Quality group assesses the impacts of pollution from a wide variety of sources and completes ambient monitoring of the air, land, plants and water.
