The Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is responsible for regulating waste discharges to the land, air and water for the Okanagan Region. Our staff coordinates emergency spill response and regulates hazardous waste storage, treatment and disposal. Our Environmental Quality group assesses the impacts of pollution from a wide variety of sources and completes ambient monitoring of the air and water.
