A cement manufacturing facility and limestone quarry on the Saanich Inlet. A site investigator can be seen standing on the edge of the quarry with the remains of one of the buildings in the background. This large complex site was primarily contaminated by metals in the soil as well as naphthalene, light extractable petroleum hydrocarbons, phenanthrene and asbestos. It is currently being remediated to residential standards.
