2.3 Minimum System Requirements

2.3.1 Operating system

You must have a PC with a Windows 98 (or higher) operating system.

! Caution: Apple computers are not supported and might produce incorrect results.


2.3.2 Internet connection

Your PC must be connected to the Internet. The minimum EMS WR connection is 56K modem dial-up access. However, high-speed broadband access is strongly recommended.

Note: if you do not have an Internet connection, ask your system administer to set up Internet access for you.

2.3.3 Internet browser

You need to have one of these internet browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • Netscape Navigator 6.1 or higher


2.3.4 Programs for reading reports

To read customized data reports, you will need a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel or a database program such as Microsoft Access.

The predefined reports (e.g. the pool/hot tub report) are read-only documents. This means that you can only view and print the document. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher to view predefined reports. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free download at www.adobe.com.
