Water and Air Monitoring and Reporting

Online User Guide: Environmental Monitoring System Web Reporting (EMS WR)

2.1 What EMS WR Is

Environmental Monitoring System Web Reporting (EMS WR) is an Internet application that allows users to access information stored in the EMS database. The EMS database is essentially an electronic information warehouse. This database includes:

  • physical, chemical, and biological test results for analyses performed on air, water, solid waste discharge, and ambient monitoring locations throughout B.C.
  • drinking water test results on samples collected by water purveyors and health authorities
  • bacteriological and pool/hot tub water test results.

Note: if you require more information about the EMS database, refer to the EMS website. This has a link to an electronic version of the Using EMS WR manual. You can also contact the EMS Help Desk (see Calling the Help Desk).
