Description: Wildlife Habitat Inventory/Modeling (also called
Wildlife Habitat Rating Data) is a
standard-based modeling approach that uses plot data and expert knowledge to interpret habitat values from ecosystem inventories. Information for innovative Habitat Modeling is
here.
Delivery & Access: All data and reports from Wildlife Habitat Inventory/Modeling projects must be submitted as described in this
table. To access previously submitted data and reports use
EcoCat.
Process:
Recipients of FIA funding are required under their agreement with
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to adhere to RISC standards, LBIP Standards, or an approved variance from the standards. A request for variance must be submitted to PwC who may then forward that request to
the data custodian for review. Any innovative approaches must be follow the Criteria for Conducting
Innovative Projects described
here. All projects
will require all auditable workplan, clearly stating project objectives, methodology, and
deliverables.
