Kootenay Region Angling Regulations Consultation

This site gives anglers an opportunity to provide input on angling regulations for Kootenay Region waters. The Ministry of Environment recently adopted a 2 year regulations review and synopsis publication cycle. Current regulations are effective for 2 years, from April 1 2009 through March 31, 2011.

We are not proposing regulations changes at this time and will not present proposals for your review until May 2010.

Although the formal regulations review process will not occur until 2010, we encourage anglers to send us their thoughts and recommendations any time. Let us know where our management approaches meet your expectations and where we can improve. If you have concerns about conservation of a fish population, please take a moment to make us aware. All comments will be considered as we look toward possible changes to the regulations in 2010.
