Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Reporting
The public reporting of compliance and enforcement actions demonstrates British Columbia's commitment to being accountable for achieving its environmental protection responsibilities. Together, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations administer a suite of regulatory requirements aimed at protecting various aspects of our environment. These requirements can only be effective, however, if the parties subject to the requirements comply with them. For this reason, ensuring compliance with government’s regulations is a key objective.
