Marine Plant Culture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Lands is responsible for the management of the commercial harvest of marine plants in British Columbia.

The Oceans and Marine Fisheries Branch is responsible for collecting the production statistics for marine plant culture. Due to the current scale of the industry, production statistics are confidential and cannot be released.
