Snow Pillow Data

The River Forecast Centre makes Snow Pillow data available from a number of sources.

1. Our daily download site has four .csv files available, current to 6AM every morning, combining the data for all active ASP's in the province into single files. These are updated once per day. The data available are:

• Snow Water Equivalent (sw.csv)
• Cumulative precipitation (pc.csv)
• Temperature (ta.csv)
• River level at selected river flow stations (hg.csv)

2. Near-real-time and historic snow pillow data, in hourly or daily intervals, are also available from the Water Information Data Management (WIDM) system: http://a100.gov.bc.ca/pub/aspr/

3. Manual snow survey and daily-averaged snow pillow data can be retrived from our Data Archive site.

Caution: It should be noted that the near-real-time hourly data reported through these links are as raw, and have not been checked or edited. Large errors OFTEN exist in the data. Use at your own risk.
