Sunshine Coast Methodology

The inventory data is derived from aerial photography (1994-1999 photos), and verified using selective field checks. This information is now in a GIS (Geographical Information Systems) database. The maps are available both in hard copy and digital formats at 1:20,000 scale on a TRIM map base.

Air photograph interpretation is complete, and the project team have completed two seasons of detailed field work, verifying the information from more than 20% of the identified polygons. The final maps were completed in October 2005. The final report will be available winter 2005/2006.
