This is the fourth in a series of Environmental Trends reports from the British Columbia Ministry of Environment. This year’s report contains 44 indicators and over 25 supplementary measures divided into seven topics.

The indicators provide an update on measurable pressures and conditions in the province. They also show the impact of efforts to address environmental problems and the progress society as a whole is making toward sustainability.

More than 65 people from provincial and federal ministries and other organizations were involved in this project.

Use the links on the left-hand menu to see an overview of results for each topic and to navigate through the indicators. For detailed information, see the in-depth reports.

To learn what is being done about environmental issues and what you can do, see Taking Action sections.
