Road
Density by Watershed Group

Source:
Ministry of Sustainable Resource Management, 2002.
Mapping projects
done in 1988 and 1999 show trends in road density for the 40% of
the provincial land base covered by both map sets. During that decade
there was a 45% increase in total road length for this area. As
of 1999, road density was greater than 1 km/km2 in approximately
30% of the watersheds within the portion of British Columbia mapped
to date. Road density was less than 0.1 km/km2 in approximately
15% of the watersheds mapped to 1999.
