Analysis of British Columbia’s Steelhead stocks shows that 48% are healthy, 23% are of conservation concern and 29% are of extreme conservation concern. Risks to Steelhead include alteration and loss of habitat, altered flow and stream blockage as a result of water withdrawals or dams, and by-catch from commercial fisheries.
