Water Quality Ambient Water Quality Guidelines for Chlorophenols 9. IRRIGATION No data were found documenting the effects of chlorophenols on irrigation uses of water. Terrestrial plants appear to be less sensitive to chlorophenols than aquatic organisms; any effects found were in the mg/L range. Water suitable for aquatic life or drinking should also be suitable for irrigation. See Section 7.2 and Table 7.2 for the few data that were found documenting the effects of chlorophenols on terrestrial plants. No guidelines were set for this use.
