The Ministry of Environment is committed to external review of draft BC Water Quality Guidelines prior to their final approval.

To facilitate your input, we maintain an electronic e-mail distribution list to advise potentially interested parties that a new draft document has been posted and is open for external comment. If you wish to be added to the notification list, please contact Dr. Cindy Meays with your e-mail address. There is no obligation to review any document if you are on the notification list.

We ask for written review feedback within a 30-day review period (the exact date will be provided in the Notice for External Review). The review period may be extended if notice is received prior to the end of the review period. Please send all requests to extend your review period to George Butcher, Head, Watershed Science Section.

Please note: All external review comments received on draft water quality guidelines will be posted on this website and made available to all interested parties. All submissions must include the reviewer’s name and affiliation (if any).
