Saanich Inlet Study Technical Advisory Committee Terms of Reference

1) The purpose of the committee is for scientists and technical experts to assist and advise the Water Quality Branch in implementing the Saanich Inlet Study. Committee members will be invited to:

• help develop "requests for proposals" for consultants
• form a sub-committee to review consultants proposals
• review consultants draft reports
• recommend study methods and procedures
• coordinate other agency projects with the Saanich Inlet Study
• form a sub-committee to organize a symposium
• participate in a public involvement process
• incorporate input from the Advisory Committee

2) The Water Quality Branch will chair the committee and provide staff to record minutes.

3) Scientists and technical experts, including representatives from the following agencies and institutes, will be invited:

• Fisheries and Oceans Canada
• Environment Canada
• Capital Regional District
• Cowichan Valley Regional District
• University of Victoria
• BC Environment
