Below is a record of known bugs.
| Bug Name | Detected in.. |
Comments | Fixed in... |
| Largest Area | 1.66 |
Incorrectly calculated Largest Area themes in some cases. Bug was present in earliest versions but was not detected because it affected a relatively small number of polygons. Polygons that had the following condition were incorrectly calculated: the ratings of decile 2 and 3 were the same, and (decile 2 plus decile 3) > 5, and decile 2 = decile 1. Polygons with this condition are supposed to be assigned the rating associated with decile 2. However, polygons were assigned the ratings associated with decile 1. |

| Dot-density auto refresh |
1.47 | Failed to automatically resymbolize a dot-density theme if view-scale changed. | 1.56 |
| Dot-density Index Range |
1.47 | Always gave an index-range error when displaying a dot-density
theme. |
1.56 |
| Capability First Rating | 1.56 | Bug was accidentally introduced prior to version 1.47.
Bug generated a capability theme based on first rating in ratings table rather than highest rating in ratings table. |
1.60 |
| Dot-density Partial Polygon | 1.11 |
In a View: if a polygon is only partially within a View, Arcview places all dots that belong to the polygon within the portion that is visible in the View. Thus, dots are over-represented in any polygon that is only partially visible in a View. |
|
| Dot-density Layout Scale | 1.11 | In a Layout: the scale of a view-frame in Layout must be the same as the scale in View otherwise dots will misrepresent data. | |
| Dot-density Layout Line-width | 1.11 | In a Layout: Line-widths of dotted polygons will display as 1 or 2 point thickness. |
