Follow the descriptions below for installation and setup of the ERM Mapping Tool in ArcView.
ArcView
If you are working with ArcView, copy the erm*.avx file (the '*' indicate any numbers or letters) into the folder that contains the ArcView extensions. Usually this folder is called 'Ext*' and is located somewhere in the Esri folder. Try ESRI\AV_GIS*\ARCVIEW\EXT*.
After you have placed the erm*.avx file in the correct folder, start ArcView. From the File menu select 'Extensions…'. Click on the box left of 'ERM Mapping Tool' and click the OK button.
After successful installation of the tool a new menu item named ERM-MapTool will appear. You can start selecting options from this menu, but you may prefer to read about data sources needed to run the mapping tool.
