Displaying Themes

Tem_whm has two main modes: (1) MANAGE-THEMES, and (2) DISPLAY-THEMES. The DISPLAY-THEMES menu provides you with functionality to display and query themes.

Display-Themes The menu title displays the version of tem_whm (e.g. version 6.7) Query polygons. . . Permits you to choose, from the existing themes, a theme to display. Permits you to delineate the area you want to zoom to. The current theme is automatically redrawn. Automatically zoom out. Rescales and redraws the current theme so that the complete project area fits within the green-outlined view area. Permits you to click on a new map-centre. The current theme is automatically redrawn with the new map centre in the centre of the green-outlined view area. Make a postscript file of current display. . . Automatically redraws the current theme. This function is useful if the ARCPLOT window has been resized. Permits user to modify the color scheme associated with the current rating scheme. Edit scale options. . . Edit dot-density options. . . If the Polygon Outlines button is depressed, then outlines of polygons will be drawn when a theme is drawn. If the Show Help button is depressed, then a Help window will pop up when you select a function. Returns you to MANAGE-THEMES mode.

Customizing Arcplot Display

You can customize the display of a theme by including an AML named tem_whm_ex.aml in the current workspace. If this AML exists, then it will run after the polygons are coloured, and before any of the surround is added to the display.
