Springs
Between 1995 and 1996, a technical committee worked on developing a method for identifying and delineating the source areas of springs. This report was completed in November 1996 and provides a framework for approaching the investigation of springs and includes case studies. It is intended to be used by professional-level field staff.
Community Watershed Guidebook
The Community Watershed Guidebook, which is a Forest Practices Code document, was released in October 1996.
Mapping
The original digital map coverage for community watersheds was available only at the 1:50 000 scale. All community watershed coverages have now been converted to 1:20 000 TRIM and are available through an ftp site. There are four files, including two for the designated watersheds (linework and POD files) and two for the archived community watersheds (linework and POD files). A metadata file explaining the attributes is also available on this site.
