- Research on Flooding and Landslide Events in B.C. by D. Septer, 2007
- Elk Valley Flood Has Lessons for Dike Authorities. In a paper presented to the Canadian Water Resources Association in October 1995, Peter Woods (Inspector of Dikes for British Columbia) reported that flooding in southeast B.C. serves lessons to operators of flood protection works throughout the province.
- Environment Canada's Freshwater web site is designed to show the importance and extent of fresh water in Canada. Topics include: the nature of water, water management, policy and legislation, and water and culture. A section of the site is dedicated specifically to the Flood Damage Reduction Program.
