Water Rental Rates

Effective January 1, 2006 changes were made to rental rates for water licences, supporting permits over Crown land and short term water use approvals.

The new rental structure has been designed to:

• simplify and consolidate rate structures;
• make rates more fair, applying the same rate to similar water uses; and
• help support water management responsibilities, which include water allocation, provincial dam safety, flood management and water use regulation during water shortages.

Provides an estimate of annual water licence rents for 2006 to 2009. Please note that this program will only provide an estimate of annual water licence rents. The actual rent which will apply may vary. This program will not provide estimates of additional charges which may apply, such as late payment or application fees.

Note: Please do not submit rental payments until you receive your statement.
