The Quesnel Senior Secondary monitoring station in Quesnel, BC has been shut down and is in the process of being relocated to a temporary site. Monitoring data for Quesnel will be based on data from a new temporary site.
Recent PM2.5 measurements at the Kelowna KLO Road air quality station have been impacted by an operational issue with the monitoring equipment which has also affected the calculation of the AQHI for the Central Okanagan. Ministry of Environment and Parks staff are working to investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Visit AQ Warnings for daily updates regarding wildfire smoke in the region. Follow your common sense: reduce your smoke exposure and stop or reduce your activity level if breathing becomes uncomfortable or you feel unwell.
