They may be something that LUCO superimposed after the work left our office. They are not areas with landslides. We delimited fairly small polygons for areas where landslides were common; isolated slides had on-site symbols but no polygons. But I have found my digital files of correspondence from this project (attached -- see especially memos 1 and 5). I have also found in my paper files a write up re. the legend for these maps that I do not seem to have in digital format. If you would like to drop by and pick it up sometime... Attached is a screen capture of the digital map. We think the blue polygons are areas with landslides and white polygons are areas with snow avalanches and light blue lines as either single landslides or snow avalanche tracks. Do the polygons and lines make sense to you? Some tracks do not start in any polygon. We have explanantion of codes in the digital database but we're not sure if the map is correct. Do you recall the methodology used? Sid
