Fisheries

  • FHIIP (Fish Habitat Inventory Information Program) (ZIP 175KB) – This data entry utility should be used to view and work with data from 1996 FRbc Fish and Fish Habitat Inventory projects.
  • FDIS (Field Data Information System) - This data entry utility should be used to view and work with data from 1997-present FRbc Fish and Fish Habitat Inventory projects. Please note that there are many versions of FDIS in use. Check with your contract monitor to confirm which version you should use for your project. By default, projects should use the most current version of FDIS available.
  • Fish QA Tool, 1998 (ZIP 622KB) – This tool can be used to check the standard fish and fish habitat inventory point coverage, as per the 1998/1999 mapping standards
  • Fish QA Tool, 1999 (ZIP 490KB) – This tool can be used to check the standard fish and fish habitat inventory point coverage, as per the 1999/2000 mapping standards. Please note this tool was updated February 29, 2000 to fix a bug in the checking of mandatory fields.
  • Okanagan Region Fish Species at Risk Status Report (PDF 540KB) – The geography of British Columbia offers a great diversity of aquatic habitats. In the Okanagan Region, water flows at times from glaciers to small headwater lakes, through streams, wetlands, large lake systems and rivers. Each of these habitats plays a critical role in the survival of the many species that depend upon the aquatic environment during their complex life cycles.
