Completed applications, accompanied by fees and supporting documents can be submitted to the Permit and Authorization Service Bureau via:

How long does it take to process my application?
Up to 5 days.
How many items can I put in one shipment?
Multiple specimens may be included on one permit application; however, all of the wildlife, wildlife parts, antlers and horns listed on the export permit must be exported in the same shipment, to the same destination and at the same time.
I have lost/accidentally destroyed, etc., the documentation to show that I legally harvested wildlife/wildlife parts. What do I need to do?
Complete a general permit application form requesting a 2 (y) Permit (Authorizing a person to posses dead wildlife ensuring the following information is included:
  • name, address and birthdate of applicant
  • must state on the application that the applicant hunted the wildlife himself and has lost/destroyed the documentation.
  • Give the approximate year that the wildlife was hunted or trapped.
  • Give the region in which the wildlife was hunted or trapped.
  • Give a detailed description of the wildlife or parts of wildlife. (refer to Description of Wildlife parts for export).
Once complete, ensure the 2 (y) permit accompanies the wildlife/wildlife parts.
I have wildlife/wildlife parts that I purchased at a garage sale, estate sale, gift shop, or received as a gift, etc., what do I need to do?
Swear a Statutory Declaration form [PDF 122KB] in front of a Commissioner for taking Oaths in British Columbia. This can be done at a lawyer, notary public, any Service BC office. The Statutory Declaration must include the following:
  • name, address and birthdate of applicant
  • must state on the statutory declaration where the article was purchased; who gave him the article.
  • If the client knows where the article was harvested; the name of the hunter, the year of the harvest, indicate this on the Statutory Declaration.
  • Give a detailed description of the wildlife or parts of wildlife. (refer to Description of Wildlife parts for export).
  • If you have a purchase receipt, attach this to the Statutory Declaration.
Once complete, ensure the Statutory Declaration accompanies
the wildlife/wildlife parts.
