Welcome to the Thompson Region

Thompson Regional Map

The Thompson region is one of the most biophysically diverse regions in the province: the magnificent Mt. Robson (the highest peak in the Rockies) and Wells Gray provincial parks in the northern part of the region, the mighty North and South Thompson Rivers that merge in Kamloops...from the Fraser River in the west and the Monashee Mountains to the east...the region is a landscape filled with more than 200 lakes, hills dressed in sage, vast rolling grasslands, tumbleweeds, looming mountains, alpine valleys, roaring rivers and crashing creeks.
