Welcome to Frogwatch

Have you heard amphibians are disappearing all over the world?

Join B.C. Frogwatch!! Be a Citizen Scientist!! Learn about Frogs and more!

B.C. Frogwatch is a program to collect information on frogs, toads, salamanders and turtles in British Columbia. In this site you will find the following information on all these species in B.C.: Who’s who, how to identify them, how to find and count them, and how to report this information to us.

We will collate, map and archive the information you collect. We will share this information with biologists, naturalists, teachers, students, gardeners, municipal planners, land developers and the general public to help in the conservation of amphibians and amphibian habitats.

Our partners include the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF), B.C. Ministry of Environment (MoE), the Conservation Data Centre, Thompson Rivers University, and the Ecological Monitoring and Assessment Network (EMAN). We also work closely with the Federation of BC Naturalists (BC Nature), the Community Mapping Network, the BC Wetlandkeepers and Wild BC.
